Agnes Scott College Athletic Director Beth Vansant has named Rosemary Davis as the Scottie’s first Assistant Director of Athletics for Compliance and Student-Athlete Success. This new role will coordinate NCAA compliance, academics, student-athlete leadership programming, and the professional development of head coaches. “We are very fortunate to have the opportunity to move Rosie into this role,” says Vansant. “Rosie has already been an influential leader for a lot of our newer coaches. Her experience with policies and compliance, as well as her record of success both with recruiting and building our soccer program will provide a great foundation for her to create impact in this new position.”
This is a promotion for Davis, who has spent the last four years at the helm of the Scottie’s Soccer Program, while also serving as the Compliance Coordinator for the last two. In her four years as Head Soccer Coach, Davis has elevated the program to a new consistent standard of excellence. She has recruited and mentored the 2015 Great South Athletic Conference Freshman Player of the Year, seven All-Conference players, eight All-Freshmen players, twice finished runner-up in the Great South Athletic Conference Championship, and qualified for the conference playoffs in this year’s inaugural season in the USA South Conference. “While it was a difficult decision to leave my team, I’m excited about the opportunity to positively impact ASC Athletics on a broader level,” said Davis. “As someone who has experienced Division III athletics as a player and coach, I’m looking forward to this next step as an administrator.”
A national search will commence for a new Head Soccer Coach.
