Scotties Kick Off Fall Season

DECATUR, Ga. - The Labor Day Weekend will be a busy one for Agnes Scott College, as all three of their fall sports teams jump into action to begin the 2016-17 season.  This season marks the first for the Scotties in the USA South Athletic Conference.

The teams will face off at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 1, on the campus of Agnes Scott College.  In their last meeting, during the 2014 season, Coach Davis and the Scotties picked up a 1-0 victory on the road against the Stormy Petrels.  The Scotties will continue their opening week of play with am 11:00 a.m. matchup against Hollins University on Saturday, September 3.

First-year head coach Bailey Thornton and the Scottie volleyball program also get things underway this week, as they open the season at home on Thursday, September 1, at 7:00 p.m.  The Scotties will host Toccoa Falls College, and will follow that up with a tri-match on Saturday featuring the Scotties, Hollins University, and Wesleyan College.  The Scotties face off with Hollins at Noon, and will take on the Wolves at 4:00 p.m.  Hollins and Wesleyan are set to face each other at 2:00 p.m.
