DECATUR, Ga.—Agnes Scott Athletics in conjunction with the USA South Conference is celebrating NCAA Division III Week from April 2 through April 8 to highlight all of the things Scottie student-athletes are doing on and off campus. Activities, contests, and informational sessions will be held throughout the week to showcase the absolute best of our athletes.
Division III Week Overview
Division III Week is a positive opportunity for all individuals associated with Division III to observe and celebrate the impact of athletics and of student-athletes on the campus and surrounding community. During the week, every Division III school and conference office is encouraged to conduct a type of outreach activity that falls into one of three categories: academic accomplishment; athletic experience; or leadership/community service/campus involvement. Ultimately, through both local and national activation, the goal is to build a greater awareness and understanding of Division III athletics.
Tuesday afternoon Agnes Scott Tennis will be hosting Wesleyan for its final contest at the Byers Tennis Courts this year. The Scotties will be honoring seniors Anastasia Bennett, Taylor Lee and Camille Wilson before the game. We will also be collecting change for the final days of our Pennies for a Purpose campaign to benefit PAWS Atlanta, a local animal shelter.
Social and Website Content
We will be rolling out several initiatives throughout the week to generate more understanding and interaction with student-athletes on campus.
