    DEMOREST, Ga.—A consistent offensive presence from the opening tip spurred Piedmont to a 78-47 win over Agnes Scott in the USA South opener for the Scotties on Tuesday afternoon. Garis Grant (Charleston, S.C.) turned in a monster performance on both ends of the floor, but Piedmont’s plus-25 turnover margin gave them a steady advantage throughout.

    MEMPHIS, Tenn.—Agnes Scott Women’s Basketball outscored Hendrix 27-20 in the second half, but it was not enough to complete a full comeback in a 57-43 loss to the Warriors at the Rhodes Invitational. The Scotties will head back to Decatur with a 1-6 record overall, while Hendrix improves to 6-1.

    MEMPHIS, Tenn.—Tournament host Rhodes broke open a close game after the first quarter to down Agnes Scott 68-26 in basketball action on Friday night. The Scotties got off to a good start, but cooled off from the field over the final 30 minutes to drop its fifth consecutive game.

    DECATUR, Ga.—A strong fourth quarter pushed visiting Johnson & Wales (N.C.) to a 63-47 win over Agnes Scott in non-conference basketball action on Sunday. The Wildcats were clinging to a four-point advantage at the start of the final 10 minutes of play, but seemingly could not miss in a 24-point period to close out the Scotties.
  • Stormy Petrels Spoil Home Opener for Scotties

    DECATUR, Ga.—Oglethorpe showed why they were a preseason favorite in the SAA on Tuesday night, handing Agnes Scott a 70-28 defeat to spoil the home opener for the Scotties. Agnes Scott drops its third consecutive game after a win in its season opener, while Oglethorpe handled its second USA South team to start the season at 2-0.
  • Scotties Drop Classic Finale to Eagles

    MONTGOMERY, Ala.—Pensacola Christian exploded for a big fourth quarter to down Agnes Scott College in the finale of the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic on Saturday, 63-50. The Scotties had to battle from a large deficit for the second night in a row and nearly completed a comeback before the Eagles pulled away late in the game.
  • Bruins Stop Scotties on Day Two of Classic, 65-60

    MONTGOMERY, Ala.—A fast start for the Bruins of Bob Jones University vaulted them to a 65-60 win over Agnes Scott Women’s Basketball on Friday afternoon on day two of the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic at Huntingdon College. The Bruins took a double-digit lead early in the first quarter and held off a fourth-quarter charge by the Scotties to even their record at 3-3. The Scotties fall for the first time in 2017 after an exciting win over Rust on Thursday.
  • Grant's Heroics Helps Scotties Shake Off Rust

    MONTGOMERY, Ala.—Sophomore Garis Grant (Charleston, S.C.) banked home a shot as time expired to clinch an exhilarating victory for Agnes Scott in the season opener versus Rust. Grant finished with a game-high 19 points, including the most important bucket of the game in the waning moments to help the Scotties beat Rust College 57-56 in the first game of the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic at Huntingdon.
  • Scotties Finish Season Strong at NCAA South Regional

    NEWPORT NEWS, Va.—Agnes Scott Cross Country saw its season come to a close in the NCAA South Regional Championships hosted by Christopher Newport University on Saturday morning. The Scotties finished 32nd overall and were paced by Faridah Nalunkuuma (Kampala, Uganda) for the sixth time in 2017.

    FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.—Senior Resa Knott (Atlanta, Ga.) was named to the USA South West Division Second Team as announced by the league office on Thursday afternoon. The awards were voted on by the divisional coaches earlier in the week after the regular season concluded this past weekend.

    MARYVILLE, Tenn.—Agnes Scott Volleyball saw its time in the 2017 USA South tournament come to an end with a three-set loss to third-seeded Piedmont on Halloween night. The Lions’ offense was difficult to manage all night as the Scotties fell 25-13, 25-22, 25-15 in the first round.
  • Scotties Close out Regular Season with Tri Split

    LAGRANGE, Ga.—Agnes Scott Volleyball split a tri-match with Berea and LaGrange on the final day of the regular season on Saturday. The Scotties made their they secured a playoff berth with a 3-0 win over Berea in their first match of the day before getting edged by the Panthers in the final contest of the day 3-2. The Scotties move up their mark to 8-22 and 2-10 in the USA South.
  • Nalunkuuma Runs to All-Conference Nod, Scotties Seventh Overall

    TALLULAH FALLS, Ga.—Faridah Nalunkuuma (Kampala, Uganda) led the Agnes Scott Scotties to a finish in the top half of the USA South Conference Championships, hosted by Piedmont College, on Saturday morning. The Scottie senior ran a career-best 24:07 in the 6K event, which was good enough for ninth overall and helped Agnes to seventh in the team standings.
  • Perchaluk Garners All-Conference Honor

    FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.—Junior forward Zoey Perchaluk (Fort Erie, Ont.) was named to the USA South West Division Second Team on Thursday, as announced by the conference and Commissioner Tom Hart. Perchaluk was Agnes Scott’s lone representative on a squad dominated by the top three teams in the West. Nia Coates (Pooler, Ga.) was the Scottie named to the conference All-Sportsmanship team.
  • Godfrey Picked as Head Coach for Scottie Tennis

    DECATUR, Ga.--Keva Godfrey has been selected to usher in a new era for the women's tennis program at Agnes Scott College as announced by the department and Athletic Director Beth Vansant on Thursday. Godfrey comes to Agnes Scott after serving as the head coach for the women's tennis program at Clark Atlanta University for the last three years. She began her duties in mid-October.
  • Late Score Ends Scotties' Playoff Run

    MONTGOMERY, Ala.—Huntingdon’s Camryn Hale broke a 1-1 tie in the 80th minute to effectively end Agnes Scott Soccer’s 2017 campaign in the first round of the USA South tournament. The Scotties had worked their way back to tie the game only minutes prior, but the Hawks were able to escape for the 2-1 win and earn a spot in the second round at Maryville.
  • Scotties Selected Seventh in USA West Poll

    FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.—Agnes Scott Women’s Basketball was predicted to finish the 2017-18 season the same way they finished the 2016-17 season at seventh in the USA South West. The league’s coaches voted in the preseason poll this week and do not vote for their own team.

    Agnes Scott Soccer begins its quest for USA South glory today when they head to Montgomery, Alabama for a 4 vs. 5 matchup in the first round of the conference tournament. The Scotties will see Huntingdon for the second time in a week and hope to avenge a 2-0 loss in Decatur with the stakes even higher this time around.
  • Scotties Fall to Tornados in Four-Set Battle

    DECATUR, Ga.—Agnes Scott Volleyball closed out its 2017 home schedule with a well-fought loss in four sets to Brevard College. The Tornados attack was stellar all night, but the Scotties fought back to win the third set and extend the match. Brevard took the overall match 25-18, 25-14, 20-25, 25-16.

    MT. BERRY, Ga.—Agnes Scott Volleyball finished off a busy week with a pair of three-set losses to Sewanee and Berry on Sunday afternoon. The Scotties dropped the first match 25-13, 25-19, 25-22 to the Tigers before falling to the host Vikings 25-21, 25-10, 25-11.

    DECATUR, Ga.—Agnes Scott Soccer celebrated Senior Day in style with an 8-0 win over visiting Talladega on the final day of the regular season for the Scotties. Agnes’ lone senior Erin Innis (Blairsville, Ga.) scored a goal in the contest during a five-goal opening half to help pace the Scottie attack.

    DECATUR, Ga.—A furious first-match rally fell just short as Agnes Scott was swept in a home tri-match against Huntingdon and Covenant on Saturday afternoon at the Woodruff Gymnasium. The Scotties came all the way back from two sets down against the Hawks in the opener and came within a point of a complete comeback before the Hawks spoiled the attempt in a five-set thriller. Covenant handed the Scotties a loss in four sets to remain unbeaten in the USA South.
