William Peace Takes Down Scotties in Doubleheader

RALEIGH, N.C. - Agnes Scott took to the road for another USA South Athletic Conference series, as they dropped two contests to William Peace (15-19, 7-9 USA South), falling 13-1 and 10-2. The Scotties (0-22, 0-14 USA South) held the Pacers without a run in Game 2 until the fifth inning, when the home team exploded for 10 runs to dash the hopes of the Scotties in picking up their first win of the season.

Kayla Quesenberry pitched four scoreless innings for the Scotties in Game 2, before the Pacers started their offensive outburst. She was tagged for 4 runs, 3 of which were earned, before giving way to Haley Keesler, who was unable to slow the momentum of the Pacers. Tatiana Santiago gave the Scotties the 2-0 lead in the top of the 4th, as she belted a 2-run double to left field for the Scotties.

The Scotties will return to action on Sunday, as they travel to North Carolina Wesleyan (13-15, 9-7 USA South) for a noon and 2:00 pm doubleheader.
