DECATUR, Ga. - In front of a packed home crowd at the Woodruff Gymnasium, the Agnes Scott College basketball team (3-15) got off to a slow start and were unable to recover in time, as they fell to NAIA member, Point University (19-5), by a score of 67-43.
Laniqua Collins led the Scotties once again, topping all players in the game with 22 points and 13 rebounds. Brittaney Howard contributed to the cause with 14 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. For the Skyhawks, Candace Rhodes led the way with 19 points. One bright spot for the Scotties was on the glass, as they outrebounded their opponents, 36-34.
The Scotties will remain at home on Wednesday, February 10, as they face off with Wesleyan College in a Great South Athletic Conference contest. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
