DECATUR, Ga.—Agnes Scott Basketball will be hosting a Play4Kay game on Saturday, February 3, 2018, for their matchup with USA South rival LaGrange. The game starts at 2 p.m. at the Woodruff Gymnasium with plenty still on the line for both sides.
For the last decade, women's basketball teams across the country have hosted an annual game to honor the legacy of longtime North Carolina State head coach Kay Yow, who fought a 22-year battle with breast cancer. One of the winningest coaches in college history, Yow's work with cancer, even posthumously, remains the greatest part of her storied career.
The Scottie basketball program will wear the famous Play4Kay branded t-shirts during warmups and will offer several opportunities to raise money for the foundation throughout the month of February.
One such way gives supporters the chance to partner with the team in sponsoring each free throw made during the Scotties five games remaining in the month of February. Scottie fans will be able to pledge as small an amount as one dollar per made free throw with tiers going up to 10 dollars.
