DECATUR, Ga.—Agnes Scott Soccer celebrated Senior Day in style with an 8-0 win over visiting Talladega on the final day of the regular season for the Scotties. Agnes' lone senior Erin Innis (Blairsville, Ga.) scored a goal in the contest during a five-goal opening half to help pace the Scottie attack.
The Scotties finish the regular season at 4-12-1 and head into the USA South playoffs winners in three of their final four games, including a pair of shutouts.
Brea Hill (Lithonia, Ga.) scored the day's opening goal just two minutes into the contest to put the Scotties on top, a lead they would never relinquish.
Agnes Scott owned possession for much of the game with a consistent peppering of the Tornadoes' goal. Arnesia Glenn (Atlanta, Ga.) made several nice stops for the Tornadoes, but couldn't overcome the pressure by the Scottie offense.
Nia Coates (Pooler, Ga.) scored her first goal since September in the third minute to make it 2-0, while Caitlynn Croft (LaGrange, Ga.) finished off an Emily Duncan (Toano, Va.) through ball at the 14-minute mark to put the Scotties in control.
Hill and Innis scored twice in a 45 second span in the second half, while Young added her sixth of th season in the 77th minute to round things off.
Agnes Scott held a 46-1 shot advantage, a season-high for the Scotties.
Glenn made 18 saves for the Tornadoes. Abby Ackerson (Hoover, Ala.) saved the only shot of the game for Talladega.
