Rosemary Davis was promoted to Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance and Student-Athlete Success in June of 2017.

In 2014, Davis led the Scotties to a second place finish at the GSAC Championships.  Four student-athletes were named to the GSAC All Conference team, two were named All Freshman. For their academic success, six student-athletes were named to the GSAC All-Academic Team and the Scotties earned the NSCAA Academic Team Award for the ninth consecutive season after posting a team GPA of 3.23 during the 2012-13 academic year.

Davis had previously been an assistant soccer coach for the Scotties in 2010 and 2011 when the Scotties finished fourth in the GSAC Championships.

Davis earned her B.A. in History with Highest Honors from Kenyon College, Gambier, Ohio.  She also holds a Master’s Degree in Heritage Preservation from Georgia State University.  She was the assistant women’s soccer coach at Kenyon for two separate stints, and also served as an assistant soccer coach at Cornell University, Ithaca, New York.  An experienced clinician, Davis has coached at various soccer camps, including sessions hosted by Emory University, Cornell University, College of Charleston, and Kenyon.  She holds a National license from the NSCAA.

A goalkeeper at Kenyon, Davis was a four-year starter and two-year co-captain.  She helped lead the team to its first appearance in the NCAA DIII Tournament and to its first tournament win.  She was a three-time all-conference honoree, and in 2006 she was voted MVP of the team and was named to the NSCAA All-Region second team.  Davis ranks in the top five of every goalkeeping category in the Kenyon record book, and she concluded her career with 28 shutouts and the record for wins (42).  As a senior, Coach Davis was awarded the Jesse Falkenstine Award, an award given to an outstanding scholar-athlete for leadership and integrity.

Davis is a native of Decatur and her grandmother was a proud Scottie in the class of 1931.
