FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The USA South Athletic Conference's women's tennis coaches have released their 2017 preseason polls. Each divisional preseason poll only includes votes from coaches within that particular division-only. The Monarchs are the defending USA South regular season and tournament champions. Methodist received 47 total points and five first place votes. N.C. Wesleyan College was second with 43 points and the final three first place votes. Placing third in the poll with 36 points was Meredith College followed by Averett University in fourth place with 34 points to round out the top-half of the poll.

Covenant College, under the direction of Head Coach John Hirte in his fifth year, was selected as the West Division favorite. The Scots were last spring's USA South tournament runners-up.
