LAGRANGE, Ga. - After opening their first-ever USA South campaign with a 3-3 record, the Agnes Scott College volleyball team dropped their sixth straight USA South contest, a 3-0 loss to LaGrange (18-10, 7-6 USA South). The Scotties kept things close in the opening set, before LaGrange took over and handed the Scotties the loss, 25-22, 25-15, 25-14.
Kayleigh McCrary and Bonnie Derks each had 8 kills for the Scotties. Anna Tomkins led the team with 26 assists, and Bella Kammerer pitched in with 17 digs. LaGrange had 11 aces on the evening, as the Scotties struggled with service reception.
The Scotties will look to rebound on Thursday night as they travel to Wesleyan College (0-19, 0-12 USA South). The Scotties (9-13, 3-9 USA South) currently sit 1/2 game ahead of Salem College for the final playoff spot for the USA South tournament.
