LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. - In a road match against the top team in the USA South, Agnes Scott volleyball struggled to gain momentum as they fell to Covenant College, 3-0 (25-17, 25-18, 25-15). The win for Covenant (17-12, 11-3 USA South) gives them the top seed in the West Division for the upcoming USA South Conference Tournament. The Scotties (12-14, 4-10 USA South) still sit in 5th place in the West Division standings.
For the Scotties, Bella Kammerer led all players with 18 digs, as each team logged 45 digs for the night. The difference came offensively, as Covenant managed 41 kills to the Scotties' 19. Serving was also a difference-maker, as Covenant had 16 aces to only 3 for Agnes Scott.
The Scotties will look to rebound on Saturday, October 29, as they host Piedmont College at 2:00 p.m. The match will celebrate Agnes Scott's lone senior, Kayleigh McCrary, as the Scotties hope to lock up their spot in the USA South Conference Tournament, which is set to start on November 1.
